Traditionally, geomancy involves drawing lines of dots in the sand to create random patterns. These dots, grouped into figures, are used to form a layout that reveals answers to the seeker’s questions. Over time, the practice evolved, with medieval European practitioners opting to draw dots on parchment or paper instead of sand.

The process produces 16 unique figures, each with a name, elemental and planetary associations, and distinct qualities—some positive, others challenging.

The true art of geomancy lies in interpreting these figures within specific positions in the tableau. Much like medieval astrology, this interpretation draws on the relationships between the figures, offering profound insights and guidance.

• I’ll create unique geomantic patterns in a tray with dirt collected from the Mount Shasta Headwaters, connecting your reading to the mountain’s sacred energy.
• The quartz wand used to draw the patterns is unique to you and your reading. It is also charged at the Mount Shasta Headwaters. 

Interpretation

• Using geomantic methods, I will interpret the patterns to uncover insights and guidance tailored to your question or intention.
